In 1519 A D, Hernando Cortes and a legion of cohorts began a violent assault on the indigenous people of the Americas. That assault continues in various forms right up to the present day. Indigenous prophecies from many tribes, however, state that a time would come when power would shift back into the hands of those who seek to live in harmony with all land and life. Perhaps that time is upon us.
On June 21st, the Summer Solstice, day of "solar maximum" for the year, a New Moon eclipse of the Sun will occur. This convergence of eclipse and solstice is an astronomical event not witnessed for hundreds of years. Astrologers interpret such events mythologically. An eclipse of the Sun such as this, therefore, and the eclipse of the Moon following in two weeks, shows both Sun and Moon as cosmically entwined in an eternal dance of balanced complementarity. The Moon, as Divine Feminine, is revealing herself as equal consort to the Sun, as Divine Masculine.
The fact that this rare solstice eclipse occurs simultaneous to the positioning of Venus, as Morning Star (planet of love, harmony and peaceful relationships) at the center-point of Taurus (Earth force and synchronicity ) signals this to be a clear and auspicious time for the grass-roots re-emergence of both the Divine Feminine AND the indigenous spirit of Humanity, dwelling as it does, in all people living close to the Earth.
