THE LUNATION JOURNAL Lunation journaling is journaling consciously, by the phases of the moon. As an introduction to this form of self-exploration, I offer you a four-quadrants journal to download. It provides a sector-by-sector template into which you may record your ongoing personal insights. The journal form itself is aligned to the hieroglyphic journey introduced in the Temple of the Feathered Serpent. Hence, it begins at New Moon , goes through the four quadrants of a lunation cycle, and ends in the Dark Moon portion of that cycle. Every New Moon signals entry into an unmanifest sector of the sacred calendar journey. The qualities meant to be brought forth and embodied during that portion of the journey, are included at the outset, and are signaled by the hieroglyph and number shown on each page. For example, the first of these journals was released in the lunation cycle known as ONE CHUEN. One Chuen carries with it these qualities: Unity.Humor.Artistry. Innocence. Spontaneity. Monkey. Trickster. One way of using the lunation journal is as a HAIKU JOURNAL. The haiku is a form of poetry very suited to spontaneous recording of day-to-day impressions. Why not use the lunation journal to record poetically, your personal journey? Following, are some haikus from my own journey. Enjoy ! Sun soaks my morning skin. My brand new teapot Pours poems from every cup! Black pages carry my colored words. My teachers never showed me how to write With bolts of lightning! Birds fly into the sunset. We dip our paddles deep into the night-- A seal pops up! Red clouds drift over island mountains. We set our course by moon and stars-- This night could last forever. Thinking of you, I imagine roses, Dancing to the altar of your heart. Big bunches of roses! Looking forward to your return, I encounter feelings of optimism Polarized by fear!
