IX ( Mayan Pronunciation: ee' sh)

My depiction of one of the hieroglyphs of the Mayan sacred calendar, a calendar common, in one form or another, to all Mesoamerican cultures. The sacred calendrics of these ancient cultures can be seen to be one of contemporary global significance. Far from being mere relics of days gone by, they can be drawn upon as vital sources of wisdom for life in our modern era. We can now look to this, and nineteen other hieroglyphs, for guidance and instruction as to how to live in harmony on planet Earth. We need only view the hieroglyphs and to recall their attributes in order to benefit from them. Attributes associated with IX are: integrity, heart-knowing, alignment with divine will, magician, shaman, jaguar, night seer, priest, torch bearer, magic. IX is said to represent the highest level of individual conscious development. An affirmation associated with this development is: "Through heart-knowing, I am in natural alignment with divine will".
