Fuller called
it Spaceship Earth and pointed out that it came with no operating
manual. We are having to learn as we go.
As an organism aboard
this spaceship, humanity is becoming increasingly aware that
it is up against severe limits to its growth. This is causing
a worldwide crisis.
Barbara Marx Hubbard says our crisis is about our collective
birth into a new level of planetary consciousness, a new stage
in our evolution as a species.
Each one of us is undergoing
this collective process in his or her own way and at his or her
own rate of change. All, however, are being called to quicken.
In March
of 1986, I myself was quickened when I was made intuitively
aware that on its journey through galactic space, Earth is passing
through a multi-dimensional grid work of light, partially understandable
through a careful reading of astrological and mythological symbols.
At the time, the symbols
revealed to me as most important were those constellated by the
ancient Mayan people in what they call the sacred Tzolkin calendar.
That calendar, with its 260 combinations of number and hieroglyph
constitutes a framework of connected essences palpable to human
understanding through the phenomenon of sympathetic resonance,
an echoing and reinforcing of similar qualities.
But
how do we begin to work with this process of resonant connectedness?
One way is to work with
each sector of the calendar grid on a Moon-cycle-by-Moon-cycle
basis.
And so I have!
Taking the Moon cycle
beginning February 9, 1986
as the starting point of a 260 Moon initiatic journey into
a new level of consciousness, I have consciously entered Moon
cycle after Moon cycle with an awareness of its place in the
galactic grid represented by the sacred calendar. I have allowed
myself to be animated and inspired by the qualities of the symbols
and numbers relevant to the designated times.
And so it continues.
With the New
Moon on September 20, 1998, Earth's entered into the sector
of galactic space designated ONE CABAN. One, or unity, combined
with Caban, or Earth Force inspires me to proclaim this the YEAR
of the ONE EARTH.
If you choose to join
with me in resonating to the qualities of consciousness divined
as relevant for the present time, you will attend to the inner
structure of the lunar year now unfolding. Three Moon cycles
are particularly important: the first, seventh and thirteenth.
The seventh Moon of
this year commands a special importance, as do the seventh Moons
of all lunar years seen in this way. Seven is the number associated
with entry into a Greater Reality of Spirit. It is the number
of synthesis, co-ordination and mystery.During the current lunar
year, seven is associated with hieroglyph AKBAL: the power of
INTEGRATION
.
AKBAL
is the abyss, the "looks-within-place," the sanctuary,
the place where we journey into self, there to find the keys
to self-mastery and mental security.
As a tone of relevance
for the whole of this Year of the One Earth, 7 AKBAL is a double-whammy
calling each of us to go deeper into self than we have ever gone
before. Can we conceive of contacting our deepest Soul force
awaiting us at the center of our solitude, at the center of the
Earth?
One pitfall to avoid
along the way is that of over-identification with solitude. We
are not to "hide-out" in solitude. We are to enter
the solitude and then return. Solitude thus shows its true value
when experienced against a backdrop of active participation in
the world "as-it-is."
Ideally, we are each
able to establish and cultivate a true sovereign presence in
the world, a presence emanating from a clear sense of purpose
and direction. This leads naturally to periodic pinnacles of
personal/planetary fulfillment as characterized by the number
13.
In the current year,
therefore, the 13th Moon cycle can be anticipated to be a future
pinnacle of sovereignty toward which we as a group of distinct
individuals might aspire. In a very real sense, the qualities
of 13 MULUC are present now within us, in seed form, awaiting
our nurture and care. Each of us is free to act in whatever way
we see fit, to do this.
13 is the number of universal
movement, the number of light itself! It combines with hieroglyph
MULUC, signature of self-remembrance, psychic wholeness, cosmic
communication, and close attention to signs and signals from
other realms. With its placement so close to the prior Solar
Eclipse of August 11, 1999 , I believe 13 MULUC is signaling
us to focus our attention on that eclipse as a portal of entry
into a much more inclusive worldview than we may have at present.
Cosmic communication
can often be assisted by invocation. As a fellow journeyer on
this transformative, evolutionary path, I offer to you the following
Invocation of Sovereignty for the Temple of Mystery. It is one
of 20 such invocations and is the result of my own openness to
the promptings of Spirit. May it assist us both on our journey
through this important time in Humanity's unfolding. Ho!
